Membership categories
Ordinary members: individuals who are, or have been, professionally engaged in researcher higher education in rural sociology or in related fields;
Student members: individuals studying rural sociology or related subjects at a centre of higher education, such membership to last not more than six years;
Associate members: individuals who are professionally engaged in rural sociology or in related fields but who are members of another regional Society for Rural Sociology and who reside outside Europe
